Crockpot Yummy Chicken Breasts

Most of us have always believed that anything cooked in a Crockpot is fattening because it cooks in its own fat. Not if you use this recipe, I used no soups or gravies to make this dish.

Do you get tired of trying to find new ways to cook chicken,,, then this recipe is for you! I usually bake my chicken breast, but I always overcooked it & it tasted so dry. Honest to goodness, crockpot cooked chicken comes out tasting like tender pork roast.

  • BE SURE TO USE  the plastic liners made for the crockot = no clean up afterwards.
  • 6 raw boneless Chicken Breasts. Or if you have a little crockpot, then only use 3 breasts.
  • Water to just barely covering the last chicken breast.
  • Use whatever seasonings you like. I used Italian Seasoning & Mrs. Dash Seasoning. Or use Poutlry Seasoning.
  • Dash of Garlic Powder.
  • Dash of Black Pepper.
  • Squeeze one fresh lemon. Careful not to let any seeds get in there.
  • Optional: 1 Tablespoon “I can’t Believe it’s not Butter” margarine. I DID USE IT!!!

You can decide to cook on SLOW for 8 hours or on HIGH for 4 hours. Tastes the same either way.

Once you start cooking, never open the lid. If you do, you’ll have to add on another 20 minutes cooking time.

Use tongs to remove chicken, because it’s so tender that it falls apart.
